Meet CAMTA, a Japanese immigrant community that arrived in the Amazon forest in 1929, escaping from the war.
After going through difficulties with their pepper plantation, they have found in the agroforestry system a great way to improve their production, increase family income and regenerate the forest. “We were so welcomed in the Amazon that we have to reciprocate with knowledge, so we can remain here generation after generation, not destroying the environment.”
